Perpendicular to the IR, directed to the base of the third metatarsal.

Diagnostic Importance: Lisfranc Injury

  • Visualization without overlap of the joints.
  • Alignment assessment between metatarsals and tarsals.
  • Detection of subluxations or fracture-dislocations.
  • Joint space evaluation in the medial region.

Lisfranc injuries are hard to diagnose; this oblique view is essential for their evaluation.
